If you can't lock your SmartHalo 2 onto your Anti-Theft Mount, don't panic! There could be a few reasons, so here are some potential solutions for this:
- Sometimes, the Anti-Theft Mount has a bit of "new product" stiffness to it when unboxed, which might lead to SmartHalo 2 being unable to lock onto it. To fix this, insert your key a few times in between the railings and push the locking mechanism a few times where the SmartHalo logo is to loosen it up.
- Sometimes, the mechanism stays stuck on the sticker that covers it. Insert the key, and push on the locking mechanism where the SmartHalo logo is a few times to unstick it. To prevent this from happening again, don't leave your key in the railings for too long.
When working properly, you should see the locking "wings" move up and down when you insert the HaloKey without SmartHalo 2 on the mount. If it still doesn't work, send us pictures of your mount on your handlebar — we'll figure it out.
